Privacy policy
Yugma: Mahjong Solitaire. Last updated: 3 October 2026.
This policy explains what happens to information when you play Yugma, the Mahjong Solitaire game for Android, iPhone, iPad and web browsers published by DSONIX Technology ("DSONIX", "we", "us" or "our"). It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), and to give players in other countries the information their laws require.
In short: Yugma has no accounts and asks for no name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location. Your progress stays on your device. The apps show ads from Google AdMob, and Google uses your device's advertising ID and similar information to show and measure those ads. You can refuse personalised ads and the game plays exactly the same.
1. Who we are
- Business name: DSONIX Technology
- Email: info@dsonix.com
- Location: Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India
For the personal data described here, DSONIX Technology is the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act and the controller under European data protection law. Google is an independent controller of the data it collects through its advertising service.
2. What the game keeps on your device
Yugma saves the following on your phone, tablet or browser only. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.
- your settings (sound, music, dark mode, vibration and similar);
- your progress: streaks, boards cleared, best times, the daily boards you have cleared and the boards you played recently;
- your coins and the themes you have opened with them;
- the theme and difficulty you last chose;
- whether Google has said that ads may be requested on this device (see section 3).
This information is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its data in your device settings (in a browser: when you clear the site's data). Your device's own backup service may include it in a backup of the device, under your Google or Apple account.
3. Advertising: Google AdMob
The Yugma apps for Android, iPhone and iPad are free and are supported by ads. The version played in a web browser at yugma.dsonix.com shows no ads and uses no advertising service; there, only section 2 applies.
In the apps, the ads are supplied by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC and its affiliates. An ad appears after a cleared board, and you may choose to watch an ad to receive an extra life, hint, undo or shuffle. No ad is shown during a board.
To show and measure ads, Google's software inside the game collects and uses:
- your device's advertising ID (the Android advertising ID, or Apple's IDFA if you allow tracking);
- your IP address, from which an approximate location (country or city) is worked out;
- device information: model, operating system, language, screen size and network type;
- ad activity: which ads were shown, whether they were watched or tapped, and diagnostic information.
Google uses this to choose ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure how ads perform and to detect fraud. Where you have agreed, it also uses it to show ads based on your interests ("personalised ads"). DSONIX does not receive your advertising ID or your IP address; we see only totals, such as how many ads were shown.
More information: how Google uses information from apps that use its services, Google's Privacy Policy, and the advertising partners Google may work with.
4. Your choices about ads
- Consent screen. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your choice about ads the first time it opens. You can change it at any time in the game under Settings, "Ad privacy choices".
- iPhone and iPad. The game asks once whether it may track you. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", Google does not receive your IDFA. You can change this in the device's Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device's Settings, under Privacy (or Google), Ads.
- Personalised ads. You can turn them off for your Google account at adssettings.google.com.
Whatever you choose, you still see ads, but they are not based on your interests, and the game itself plays exactly the same.
5. What we do not collect
Yugma has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat, no leaderboards and no purchases. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services. The game does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
On Android the game uses these permissions: internet access and network state (for ads), the advertising ID (for ads), and vibration (for the small buzz on taps and matches).
6. Why we use data, and our lawful basis
- Saving your progress and settings on your device is needed to provide the game you asked for.
- Showing ads is how the game is paid for. Personalised ads are shown only with your consent or permission where the law requires it; otherwise ads are not personalised.
7. Children
Yugma is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not direct personalised advertising at them. If you are under 18, or under the age at which you can consent in your country, please use the game only with a parent or guardian, who can make the choices in section 4 for you. If you believe a child's data has been collected through the game, write to us and we will help to have it removed.
8. Sharing, and transfers outside India
We do not sell personal data, and we share it with no one except as described in section 3. Google may process data on servers outside India and outside your own country. The DPDP Act permits such transfers except to countries the Government of India restricts; for players in Europe, Google relies on the safeguards described in its own privacy policy.
9. How long data is kept
- Information saved on your device stays there until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- Information collected by Google is kept for the periods set out in Google's Privacy Policy. Resetting or deleting your advertising ID breaks the link between your device and the ad information collected earlier.
10. Security
The game keeps its data in the private storage that Android and iOS give each app, which other apps cannot read. Ads are requested over encrypted connections. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal data is processed about you, to have it corrected or erased, to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold no personal data about you ourselves, most requests are answered by the choices in section 4 and by Google's own tools. For anything else, email info@dsonix.com with the subject "Yugma privacy" and we will reply within 30 days.
12. Grievance Officer
- Name: Grievance Officer, DSONIX Technology
- Email: info@dsonix.com (subject: "Grievance")
- Address: Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India
We will acknowledge a grievance promptly and resolve it within 30 days of receipt. If you are in India and are not satisfied with our response, you may then complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or the law changes, for example if purchases are added. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and applies from that date.
